CNC speed and feed calculator
Enter the cutting speed recommended by your tool maker, the tool diameter and the feed per tooth to get the spindle speed and the table feed rate.
How it works
Spindle speed follows from the cutting speed and the diameter. The feed rate is the feed per tooth multiplied by the number of teeth and by the spindle speed. The same speed formula applies to turning, using the workpiece diameter, and to drilling, using the drill diameter.

Example
A 20 mm cutter with 4 teeth at a cutting speed of 150 m/min and 0.1 mm per tooth gives about 2387 rpm and a feed rate of about 955 mm/min.
Use the cutting data from your tool supplier for the material you cut. Limit the result to the maximum speed of your machine and tool.
